action and kitty

weird maze thing in the fieldfound cat

Yesterday was action packed. Blueberry pancakes from scratch, flying over north Seattle, picking veggies, pirogies & wine for lunch, canoeing through lake union, and watching Big Fish (on the couch that finally came!) My arms were really sore from the canoeing by the end of the night, it was pretty pathetic. I apparently have no upper body strength.

This cat has been hanging out on my porch a lot the past few days. I don’t know if she’s homeless but she sure acts like it (actually, i dont know if it’s a boy or girl, havent looked). From the way she scarfs food and aggressively seeks out attention i think she’s homeless. She is killing me with her sweetness. She waits for me on the porch and tries to get into my house like it’s hers. And when she did get in a few times she just walked around purring. And when I’m out on the porch she just likes to hang out next to me. Such a cutie!

let’s join the circus

The School of Acrobatics and Circus Arts have a teen/adult circus class!

“This class focuses on a variety of the physical & mental disciplines involved in the Circus Arts. Includes acrobatics, aerial work, juggling, tightwire, trampoline, unicycle & rolling globe.”

Wed, 7:00 PM-9:00 PM
09/05/07-10/24/07
$200.00

Doesn’t that sound AWESOME? Does anyone want take the class with me? I like to think that if this whole “designer” thing doesn’t work out I could just join the circus instead!

also, just got back from the dance class tonight, which was lots of fun. The studio is walking distance from my place so I may have to take some more classes there…

Monday Monday

Hmm. I guess I’ve been busy the past two weeks.

There was some crazy awesome salsa dancing into the wee hours of the morning which made me realize how sexy salsa dancing is. it also made me want to take dance classes again really bad. There’s an African dance class here in Fremont I want to try out tonight.

Last week we went to the Yard Dogs Road Show which was pretty much the coolest damn thing I’ve seen in a really long time. Cabaret Burlesque Circus rolled into one fantastic sexy ball of awesome.

Two friends left and one returned. I’ve had quite a bit of wine the past few weeks. Seems there have been many occasions for celebrations lately.

I’ve been enjoying the new place so far. A few late night strolls to gas works, gelato, and one of the many nearby bars. I also got an adorable little green 4-door VW Golf (2000). I’m calling it Koopa, and it’s awesome. It’s the perfect size and is spunky to drive. I plan on having a few road trips now that I can actually get out of the city on my own.

And I made this at work today cause I had some down time and supposedly it’s cool if I work on personal projects there. It’s pretty lame but it was fun:

The new place

I am finally moved into my new place! Well, I have pretty much all of my stuff here at least. Still not unpacked or anything, and I still have to get rid of some stuff at the old place, and fetch my bike. But I’m actually staying in the place, and it’s amazing. I feel so lucky to be living here. I love the area and the house and pretty much everything about it.

I’m hoping we’ll have people over quite a bit here since it’s a pretty good set up for it, but the “real” housewarming shindig will have to wait til Allyson moves in.

It’s nice to get a clean fresh start.

Okay! Time to start unpacking!
