So this quarter, since I’m only doing 13 credits I have a pretty nice schedule, with large blocks of time to get things done and none of those lame random short blocks, which are pretty much useless. So I have plenty of time to do stuff in the morning like go jogging or run errands or whatever, which is nice.
I’ve only had my 2 design classes but so far they seem like they’ll be fairly interesting. All 3 of my classes are being taught by guests, which will be …different, but probably in a good way. In one class I’ll be making a website about The Rwandan Genocide, which seems like a big jump from last quarter’s Oceans and Spas, but it’s all part of why I like my major, lots of variety. The other will be redesigning a corporate identity, dunno which one yet. It was just kinda weird cause our prof. came in wearing a suit and took it off to reveal a skateboarding tshirt.
And then we watched the first part of The Corporation, which I liked less than I thought I would, maybe because I didn’t really feel like it told me anything I didn’t already know, just the classic anti-corp stuff. Nike’s sweatshops, Monsanto’s DDT and Cow Hormones, etc. Maybe I’m jaded cause I use to sort of have that anti-corporate framing or mindset or whatever in highschool, but I’ve sort of gotten over it. I dunno.
