1. What did you do in 2006 that you’d never done before?
went to Italy, Branded a restaurant, designed a conference program, went to Sasquatch, camped along the Oregon coast, went to mt. index, moved into a house with peeps, kept two travel journals, enjoyed wasabi (and other hot things), had a 1 year anniversary (i’ve never had them last that long), um.. and some other things I can’t think of.

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Um, for the most part, no. I haven’t been running in forever and I don’t know if I buy less shit. It’s hard to gague that one really. I suppose I do eat out less since I cook at home more, but I still eat out quite a bit. But I think I’ve sort of taken that off my bad things list. I think I’ve also scheduled my life a little better? Or so it seems? I think I’m stay on top of things pretty well.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
not that I know of…

4. Did anyone close to you die?
not someone very close.

5. What countries did you visit?
Thailand, Italy

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
Hmm. I don’t really know. I’ve had a lot of stuff this year. Maybe my own car. and a real job? Oh, and I suppose a degree would be good next year.

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Getting pelted by huge chunks of hail at sasquach, labor day weekend, cause it was weird, and hurt!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I read some books, desiged a bunch of “real” stuff. We were in the student film festival.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I sucked at exercising, pretty bad. All the new pants I had to buy are proof of that.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Pretty healthy for the most part! (esp compared to last year). Some minor things, but for the most part, I’m doin good.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My MacBook Pro, definately. It has made my life so much easier if only cause it’s so much faster than old PB McApple. Oh and this fancy printer, also made my life much easier this quarter.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
I really can’t think of any that stand out…

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Also don’t know…

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food and clothes. as always.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
my new computer, all the travelling (and returning home), moving into the house, getting a new job.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. Happier or sadder?
Happier because I have NO commitments for winter break, aside from taking care of Peter’s Socialist Republic (the bunny). And other aspects of my personal life are better now thn this time last year.

ii. Thinner or fatter?
fatter, definately.

iii. richer or poorer?
maybe a little richer?

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
exercise, and personal side projects.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
sitting in front of my computer.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
with The Hales, as my parents are off in Thailand again.

23. How many one-night stands?
none.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Project Runway. I was even reading the blog while I was in Italy.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
hmm. no, although I suppose I know some people’s less favorable attributes better.

26. What was the best book you read?
The Tipping Point was pretty good.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Nouvelle Vague is amazing.

28. What did you want and get?
new computer, new job, new life experiences

29. What was your favorite film of this year?
I have no idea. I don’t remember what I saw this year…

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
big 21. went to Blue C sushi with the family, and ate played candy poker with the friends while eating lots of cake. not getting drunk.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
olla podrida (this was a new dictionary.com word of the day and I’ve been dying to use it. I think it works well here)

34. What kept you sane?
zach, food, music.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
probably johnny depp.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
i don’t think I’ve really been in on the current political issues…

37. Who did you miss?
Riley! She will be back soon though.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Jasmine has turned out to be pretty cool, unfortunately she’ll be leaving soon.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
Be aware of your self-image, and keep it in check. How you present yourself makes a big difference.
